In unit 1, I learned how chemistry and biology directly affect human daily life. All vital resources of humans and the environment are composed of atoms and molecules. For example, humans need water to survive, which is made up of molecules, atoms. In this unit, we got acquainted with biochemistry. In general, everything that happens inside our body and around our environment depends on biochemical changes. In similar words biochemistry is a combination of biology, chemistry and physiology. Also, In this unit, we got acquainted with carbon and hydrocarbon chains. Finally, at the end of Unit 1, we learned about cells that were discovered by scientists in the 17th century after the advent of the microscope.
