In my opinion the readings of William Shakesphere’s work in English class is no longer relevant or beneficial. Although Shakespeare’s work are incredible pieces of english literature I believe it is outdated and very repetitive . Shakespeare's writings are irrelevant to today's modern day students due to his use of an outdated style of english. Shakespeare wrote all his writings in old english because that was the style of english used during the time he was alive which was the sixteenth century. This form of English is too hard for modern day students to understand and deconstruct . Students of the twenty-first century should be educated about the world around them . I would recommend that students read books connected to some of society’s struggles , common stigmas, politics are more relevant topics and issues our world is facing. Conclusively , students being educated on the world around them will be a lot more beneficial for them and make them much better members of our world today.
